Sorry this is in English, I don't speak or could not write in German and I can't find answers in Dutch fora.
I want to swap my F31 320d (N47) rear silencer to an OEM 340i silencer.
I've got some questions about it.
1. The 340i rear silencer is bigger and heavier than the 320d silencer. Gives the 340 silencer more backpressure? So, after a while it could damage the turbo and/or DPF of the 320d? Yes or no?
2. I need an adapter piece to go from the 320d tube (55 mm) to the 340 tube (80 mm). I guess an adapter with outer dimensions of 58 mm (slide over) to 76 mm (slide in) is the best option?
3. What extra parts I need to order? I guess another bracket, support to hang the 340 silencer on it? Other parts I need to order...?
4. On the 340 silencer there's no vibration absorber mounted. Is it okay to mount it on the 320d without the vibration absorber?
5. Is the 340 silencer louder, or is it the same as the 320d silence?
Thanks!
